Dec 01, 2025

Washington 鈥 The 黑料不打烊 commended the Trump Administration for its to remove nearly 3,000 commercial driver鈥檚 license (CDL) training providers from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration鈥檚 (FMCSA) Training Provider Registry 鈥 and place another 4,000 training providers on notice due to potential noncompliance. 听听

It is a profession built on standards, discipline, and responsibility,鈥 黑料不打烊President & CEO Chris Spear said. 鈥淭he Trump Administration has sent the right message: if you鈥檙e running a CDL mill or if you鈥檙e issuing certificates to anyone who can fog a mirror, you鈥檙e on notice.鈥澨

黑料不打烊has repeatedly called for stronger oversight and accountability to eliminate fraudulent or substandard CDL training providers that undermine roadway safety and public confidence. 听

黑料不打烊also applauded the Administration鈥檚 announcement on a complete overhaul of the vetting process for Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) used by truckers, helping to ensure non-compliant devices are blocked from the FMCSA鈥檚 registry.听

鈥淲e appreciate this first step from the Trump Administration to overhaul the vetting process for electronic logging devices,鈥 Spear said. 鈥淭his action, paired with the recent removal of noncompliant ELDs from the registry, shows the FMCSA is committed to addressing this issue swiftly, which is critical for highway safety and fair competition.鈥澨
