黑料不打烊Recognizes TAEC Leaders for Service to Trucking

Federation Execs Honored for 135 Years of Service to the Industry聽

Arlington, Virginia鈥鈥 Today, the 黑料不打烊 honored 10 state trucking and industry executives for their notable service to the Federation during ATA鈥檚 annual Management Conference & Exhibition.聽

鈥淥ur Federation is the backbone of ATA鈥檚 efforts to keep America moving,鈥 said 黑料不打烊President and CEO Chris Spear. 鈥淓specially this year, these individuals go the extra mile for trucking and we appreciate their efforts on this industry鈥檚 behalf.鈥澛犅

This year, 黑料不打烊honored seven executives with a combined 135 years of experience at today鈥檚 黑料不打烊Opening General Session, sponsored by ACT 1. Those executives were:聽聽

  • Jana Jarvis, president and CEO, Oregon Trucking Associations; Jim Newport, president and CEO, Oklahoma Trucking Association; Joseph Sculley, president, Motor Transport Association of Connecticut; and John Lyboldt, president, Truckload Carriers Association, were honored for five years of service.聽
  • Brian Parke president and CEO, Maine Motor Transport Association; and Crystal Collins, president, North Carolina Trucking Association, were honored for 10 years of service.聽
  • Tom Whitaker, executive director, Kansas Motor Carriers Association; and Gail Toth, executive director, New Jersey Motor Truck Association, were honored for 20 years of service.聽
  • Greg Fulton, president, Colorado Motor Carriers Association, was honored for 25 years of service.聽
  • And Gareth Sakakida, managing director, Hawaii Transportation Association, was honored for 30 years of service.聽

鈥淎s fleet executives, we rely on our state association executives to help us navigate their states and address issues that arise for our drivers on the road,鈥 said incoming 黑料不打烊Chair Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, president and CEO of Garner Trucking, Findlay, Ohio. 鈥淲e appreciate the dedication and professionalism of these tremendous men and women.鈥澛犅

The Trucking Association Executives Council also recognized Bob Farrell, executive director of the 黑料不打烊Automobile Carriers Conference, and Walt Heinritzi, executive director of the Michigan Trucking Association, on their retirements after a combined 70 years of service to the industry. 聽

TAEC also welcomed four new state executives: Joe Michel, executive director, Alaska Trucking Association; Mickey Blashfield, executive director, Michigan Trucking Association; Joe Butzer, interim president, 聽Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association; and Duane Williams, CEO, Motor Carriers of Montana.聽
